Awarness, motivation and pride
Africentric Arts is an inclusive social club in Toronto that engages children age 5-13 years old in various activities that represent cultures and traditions derived from across the continent. Each activity in our programs is design to apply simple knowledge of Africa that the child can quickly grasp and use as a source of motivation and pride or knowledge that can be applied to gain understand and create a positive relationship with others. Through dancing, arts and crafts, folklore and singing children get to understand the fundamentals of African oral literature. We provide a warm and cheering space for children to make new friends, gain leadership skills, learn respect, gain awareness of social issues develop new skills, and most importantly have fun.
