ILEAD YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

Our Social Wellness program helps young people build confidence, develop positive relationships, and support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Through workshops and social events, youth have a safe and welcoming space to connect, create, and grow.
The program also includes volunteer training opportunities that give young people practical experience in leadership, teamwork, communication, event support, and community service.

Our Young Entrepreneur Program helps young people ages 13+ build confidence, develop practical business skills, and explore entrepreneurship in a supportive and creative space.
Through workshops and hands-on learning experiences, youth learn how to shape ideas, understand money, build a brand, communicate their value, and develop leadership skills they can use in school, work, business, and community life.
The program also includes real-world learning opportunities that give young people practical experience in teamwork, planning, customer service, public speaking, marketing, event support, and business presentation.
THE YOUNG CREATIVES PROGRAMS

Our Creative Arts Summer Camp gives children ages 5 to 13 a fun and welcoming space to explore music, dance, arts, and design.
Through hands-on activities and group experiences, children try new things, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy a summer filled with creativity, learning, and play.
The program also includes team-based activities that help children practise communication, cooperation, confidence, self-expression, and positive social skills.

Our After-School Program gives children a welcoming space to unwind, create, learn, and connect after the school day.
Through creative workshops, cultural learning activities, and guided exploration, children build confidence, develop social skills, express themselves, and stay engaged in meaningful activities.
The program also includes hands-on group experiences that help children practice teamwork, communication, creativity, problem-solving, and positive self-expression.
MELANIN MELODY PROGRAMS

Our Music Training Classes help young people learn instruments, grow as musicians, and build confidence through guided music instruction and practice.
Through hands-on training, participants develop rhythm, technique, listening skills, performance skills, and creative expression in a supportive learning environment.
The program also includes opportunities for young people to perform, share their progress, build stage confidence, and experience music as a source of culture, creativity, and connection.

Our Music Performance program provides live music and cultural performances for events, schools, organizations, programs, and community gatherings.
Through African drumming, music, singing, and creative performance, we bring energy, culture, and connection to spaces that want an engaging and meaningful experience.
The program also creates opportunities for young people to perform, build confidence, gain stage experience, and share their talent with real audiences.

Our Dance Classes help young people build confidence, movement skills, rhythm, and self-expression through Hip Hop dance.
Through guided classes, participants learn Hip Hop routines with influences from Afrobeats, Amapiano, and contemporary movement in a fun and supportive environment.
The program also includes opportunities for young people to practise choreography, build stage confidence, work as a team, and experience dance as a source of culture, creativity, and connection.
COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Our Black History Proclamation Ceremony brings the Tri-Community of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County together to formally recognize Black History Month and honour the contributions of Black Canadians.
Through civic recognition, community participation, and cultural reflection, the ceremony creates a meaningful space to celebrate Black history, acknowledge local presence, and strengthen shared understanding across the region.
The program also creates opportunities for youth, families, leaders, and community partners to take part in a public moment of recognition that highlights Black stories, culture, and community pride.

Candlelight Stories is a free community event in Spruce Grove that brings people together for storytelling, reflection, connection, and celebration during Black History Month.
Through cultural performances, poetry readings, music, fashion, youth candlelight stories, and shared food, the event creates a warm and meaningful space to honour Black stories, celebrate creativity, and bring the community together.
The program also gives young people, families, artists, and community members an opportunity to take part in a public celebration that highlights culture, voice, memory, and pride.

Our Africentric Fashion and Talent Show brings designers, performers, young people, families, and community members together for a celebration of culture, creativity, and self-expression.
Through fashion, music, dance, spoken word, performance, and youth talent showcases, the event gives participants a platform to share their creativity, honour cultural identity, and experience the power of community.
The program also creates opportunities for young people, local artists, designers, vendors, and performers to gain visibility, build confidence, connect with audiences, and take part in a memorable cultural experience.
